1/26/19 Last Saturday night, my husband and I dined at the 828 Asian Bistro for the first time. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted by two lovely young ladies and were seated right away. The atmosphere & decor was authentic, warm and inviting. Our waitress was very attentive and engaging. We ordered appetizer spring rolls with a ginger sauce that was delicious! For our entrees, we ordered the House Special Lo Mein and the Chicken with Asparagus. The wait time to be served was under 7 minutes. Both dishes were served hot, fresh and delectable! When our wonderful waitress brought us our check we were also surprised with an after dinner treat! Two orange halves, sectioned & topped with a marichino cherry! This was an outstanding dining experience. Can't wait to come back and try the other menu specials!

On Wednesday 11/14 we dined in and ordered pork fried rice, (make it spicy) egg rolls, and ginger salad. In 2 minutes salad and rice was on the table. Rice was not spicy nor was it warm. Egg rolls came out hot, bet hubby enjoyed. Today, 11/16, I ordered Singapore Curry, (spicy) and it singed the hairs in my nose! Inedible. Usually consistent and good, but now two strikes and next time they're OUT!

We love this place. We eat here almost every Sunday after church. The wait staff is very friendly and have gotten to know us and what our drink order is and the we always start with the Seafood soup. (good stuff). Our daughter always get the sushi, and if it wasn't good she would not have gotten it for the last 5 years or so.

Food is good. The kids that work there are complete morons, they need to get checked for ADD or go back to 1950 something to get an education and learn manners. More means add to, less means take away! Daaaa......

I love the chicken fried rice. I usually ask for "chilli sauce' on the side. It's a red tangy hot sauce that I can't live without. I have been dining at this restaurant for many years now and drive quite a distance just to be able to eat there these days. I like the service and normally it is quite fast. I will continue to dine here.

Great place!! The sushi was delicious and they had some inventive and tasty rolls. The tiger roll is my favorite so far. Also have some great options for those who are scared or not sure about the raw fish. I think the price point is pretty spot on and reasonable.

I got some really nasty sushi from this restaurant last week. It was a spicy tuna roll with a decidedly odd smell and a slimy texture. I only ate one piece and threw it up in the napkin. The sushi rice was gummy and clumped together..I tried to explained to the waiter, he obviously didn't care about my experience and did not take it off the check...Avoid this place at all costs....This is chinese owned restaurant...They obviously have no clues on how to make decent sushi...The sushi inside the HEB grocery store next door tastes much better and more fresh....

I had the shrimp and asparagus with won ton soup and fried rice. It was HORRIBLE . I was in town visiting and stopped by for lunch. I will not do that again.

not very impressive for the money. It's a nice clean place, but what you get is pretty standard fare. I was a little disappointed with the prices. I think if you're looking for sushi, drive a little farther to the Gulf Freeway and there are some very nice choices.

I was hoping it would be better, have tried it twice. I just can't say I'm a fan though. Service was good, place is nice, just "ok" on food.

My review of 528 Asian Bistro is really of the sushi only, because that's all I have ordered here.I ordered the Fuji roll and the salmon sashimi. I will admit that the sashimi was very good, but since they only give you 4 pieces, that is simply not enough to give them more stars. There really isn't just any one thing about this sushi that didn't wow me, but rather a combination of things. For starters, it was a little dry. Also, the pieces the pieces are rather small compared to others. And the main issue was the tuna in the Fuji roll seemed as though it came from a can. Nonetheless, I ate it. But I was still hungry afterward and the server didn't come back to the table to see if I wanted anything else until my husband was just about done eating. So I passed on ordering more, with no great love loss. LOL.This place gets crowded, fast ... as does their parking lot. Why? Not sure ....

I order the seafood eggrolls every time! They are super good with their sauce. My grilled salmon plate is quite big...two salmons, plenty of broccoli on the side, and has shrimp fried rice for a good deal. Good taste. Good service as long as the majority of the staff stays within asain folks.
